A Staffordshire Bull Terrier named Aeida was not a fan of baths. So how come she got into the bath with the neighbor’s kids?
In Melbourne, Australia, Nicole Ackehurst’s family had just moved into their new house. Their family dog, Aeida, immediately took to the neighbor’s dog named Cashew. Since they were spending so much time playing together, the two neighbors built a doggy door so that their dogs could freely meet and play as often as they want.
Aeida was very friendly and had a lot of love to give. Aside from playing with Cashew, she also loved to play with the neighbor’s children. She could be seen playing and rolling on the ground with them. She enjoyed the children’s company so much that she even joined them in their bath.
Nicole’s neighbor sent her a photo of Aeida in the tub through Facebook messenger, and they laughed over the dog’s antics. It was the first time that she was not forced to get a bath. Apparently, she loved the children so much that she was willing to endure a bath so that she could actually spend more time with them.
Since that time, Aeida would sneak almost every single night into the neighbor’s house just in time for the children’s bath. It was as if she took it upon herself to help the children get ready for bed. Having a bath buddy like Aeida was a great motivation for the kids to do their nightly routine.
The two families found the perfect arrangement. Nicole’s family loved it when Cashew came over to their house. The neighbors also loved having Aeida. Both families got a double dose of canine love and companionship.
Moreover, Nicole did not have to struggle with Aeida to take a bath. The dog enjoyed her baths with the neighbor’s kids.
