Bob Barnard, FOX 5’s weather reporter, aired live in Leesburg, VA. His assignment was to report about the icy conditions happening there. However, it all flurried away when a little puppy showed up and distracted Bob. But it was a good distraction.
Before the puppy came, Bob was ready to scrape off the snow from the icy cars that his viewers told him to do. He had his scraper with him and somehow made 20 bucks in his pocket.
During their live forecast, something unexpected happened that brought a lot of joy on-screen. An energetic puppy ran towards the crew and started being playful with them. The puppy kept on running, wiggling its tail and eventually grabbing his attention.
He quickly took the puppy and carried it in his arms. He became more focused and wanted to know more about the little canine. Bob also wondered where the owner could be, especially when the puppy’s outside. Being in his arms, Bob receives a few kisses on the cheek.
While waiting for the puppy’s owner, Bob decided to look after it. Everyone in the newsroom laughed and joked around about Bob having 2 businesses going on during his forecast. He actually enjoyed it and started to have some fun.
After a few minutes, the owner shows up and hurries down to get her pet. She apologizes for the sudden interruption and takes the puppy with her. She explains that her puppy escaped by jumping through the gate of their house. Bob asked for the name of her pet puppy, and it was Pierogi.
Pierogi’s enthusiastic appearance thrilled everyone. It brought laughter to the people in the newsroom, to the crew, and Bob. The puppy made their day. And according to Bob, life is definitely good.
