When Sarwan Singh, a Sikh who lives in India, saw a drowning puppy in a canal, his first thought was to rescue the animal. Since no one else wanted to rescue the puppy, Sarwan decided to remove his turban and use it to get the dog out of the water. Seeing the man struggling to rescue the dog from drowning, several brave bystanders jumped in and helped him bring the dog out of the water.
Once the dog was safe, Sarwan gave it a few biscuits and left. Like humans, canines find themselves in trouble from time to time. A dog might get lost and wander too far from home.
Or it might be stuck in a hole, on top of a rooftop, or in some other precarious situation. Dogs sometimes find themselves in situations where they need help right away, and the only way to save them is through human intervention. People should help all creatures in need, no matter their size.
Rescue can mean many things. Sometimes, it means saving a dog from danger, like getting it out of a bad situation. Other times, it means adopting a pet that needs a new home and family.
Both are important ways to help dogs and other animals live happy, healthy lives. A dog’s life might be enjoyable, but remember that there are circumstances where they can also be in danger. Cases of lost dogs are not unheard of.
They get scared and run away from home, and they end up getting lost. Some dogs get involved in fights with other animals, like raccoons. There are also times when they wander off on their own and get lost without the owners knowing about it.
Getting your pet microchipped is an effective way to keep them protected. A microchip implant helps identify a dog if it gets lost or stolen from its owner’s home or yard.
