People often think that big dogs are mean and fearsome. In reality, a lot of big dogs are very gentle and clingy toward their owners. The dog featured in the following story is a good example of a tough-looking clingy dog.
Tinker got adopted by her owner Amanda in an unexpected way. Amanda browsed Craigslist and found an older couple who had several puppies listed for adoption. It was apparent that the couple didn’t plan for their dog to have puppies, so they had to find homes for them. Tinker was one of those puppies.
Amanda drove to a church parking lot and met the young Tinker. She fell in love as soon as she saw the little dog’s face. That encounter started a wonderful friendship that is going strong to this day. Tinker is now a big dog, but she is still as cute as when she was a puppy, according to Amanda.
Tinker has a very interesting vibe and personality. She looks sad most of the time, but she’s actually a very jolly dog. Furthermore, she likes to interrupt Amanda so that she can get attention. To top it all off, Tinker is a really protective dog and would bark at any unknown individual passing by the neighborhood.
Since she is a bulldog boxer mix, Tinker’s appearance can be intimidating. However, she is fearful of many things that other dogs aren’t usually afraid of. She is scared of balloons and rain and is even annoyed at her owner’s singing. Tinker’s strangest fear was towards toenails, a fear she later overcame.
Amanda’s daily routine often starts with waking up next to Tinker and giving the dog a hug. These cuddle sessions would happen several times throughout the day. Furthermore, the dog knows when Amanda is sad and needs physical affection. That is why the owner often whispers in Tinker’s ear how she is the best dog in the world.
